Beware the LG washing machines. Had a wt7305 and it stopped working. One day just wouldnt turn on. Looked up reviews and found numerous other people with same issue. LG then discontinued the washer because they knew it was bad but didnt help any of the customers because out of warranty.

Well after a while the start or on button got difficult to engage and it sometimes just wonder not start so after a month or two or this we tried to figure out how to contact someone about the warranty - thank goodness for that or maybe not. The faceplate is the part we need and not available so we are stuck with a machine that sometimes doesnt start or shocks us. The JOY of LG. The tech said the part is on back order and doesnt exist so stuck with this until our warranty expires and we are screwed.

The unit I bought lasted 3 years before it broke down. Over a period of seven months the power button responded to my touch less and less such that only my children could activate it at a particular angle until there was no response at all. The repair man diagnosed it as the noise filter but a week later said the motherboard had to be replaced. I grew suspicious and demanded my money back but the affair cost me $100. In order to keep the original match with the dryer I purchased a like model despite my reservations to do so.

We bought this 3 years ago. It have to have the board replaced we paid because it was out of warranty. Company they recommended came to replace it. After we didnt have a washer for a week due to the part. Only when it got the new board replaced it wasnt the board it was the front screen. Another 4 days before that came in. We paid $400 I did get a 30 coupon. Now I cant find it on my phone.

Good Performing Washer But You Need to Warranty

Had this washer for a little over two years when the power switch began to work very intermittently. You had to press it very hard -- it is not a mechanical switch but one of the pressure activated areas on the surface of the washers control surface. Very bad design -- always prefer mechanical switches that can be easily activated and easily replaced. Contacted LG and had their approved maintenance company send a person out to look at the issue. So they charged us $140 or so to tell us that the solution was to replace the entire control board on the washer. That would cost around $850 which is pretty much what we paid for the washer. So we can just buy a new washer -- LG doesnt appear to have any kind of buy-back or trade in. Or we can pay way too much to replace an entire system board that is likely not even faulty. Like I said the problem appears to be a poorly designed power button. We very much like the performance of the washer. However I cannot recommend it after what we have experienced.

This $900 washer which had been well-cared for in a household of just two average adults just stopped working without warning. The circuit board died rendering the washer to be a paperweight. Despite trying various attempts at unplugging the washer and plugging it back in whilst touching the Power and/or Start buttons etc. the display would not work. The washer would not power On. There was no response at all. Of course this was shortly after the extended warranty had expired. We read recently that the satellite Voyager I launched in 1977 was still working and is the furthest object launched into space. Yet a washing machine circuit board cant last on this planet more than three years? This is unacceptable I would not recommend that anyone ever purchase an LG washer. My grandmother and mother had washing machines not LG that lasted for decades. Why cant LG make a product with a more robust circuit board that lasts? The cost of a service call and replacement of the main circuit board would have exceeded half the cost of a new washer from a more reliable manufacturer. The LG washer had initially cost around $900 and should have lasted at least 2 - 3 times as long as it did. There were only two adults in the household so it probably worked for less than 1000 uses before failing. Avoid LG washers They may be pretty to look at but they will not make you happy in the long run.

Washer was only used about 6 times as was in our second home. Put a load of laundry in and left the house something happened in the valve and it flooded my entire house. No help offered by LG because it was about two years old. I have a washer in my other house that is 20 years old and never an issue. Beware on longevity.

It was great when it worked.....the first two years were excellent. Next month it would be three years old. 2 weeks ago it died. Would not power up nothing. I had a second year extended warranty with them. I called them to see if they would do anything. They only offered to schedule service. Considering it was dead at less than 3 years and the cost to repair would likely be around $400.00 I decided to get a new machine and it was not a LG. It was a consumer magazine top rated I dont think any thousand dollar machine should die in less than 3 years.

Excellent Washer - Bad Repair Warrant Technician

This product works wonders but when its time for maintenance I was given an immediate appointment within 3 days of my call Yay Was extremely happy with the quick turnaround but the Technician sent did identify himself as an immediate employee of LG Repair team but was not helpful at all .. He took apart my washer and told me that it was my fault that the washer was not working properly.. That it had to be cleaned and there was nothing wrong with the washer.. I asked him if he could clean it if that was part of the plan and he said Im not a cleaner but a Technician to fix .. He proceeded to tell me that I needed to clean the washer and left the washer not fixed .. He said he would come the next day after I would clean it to put it back together.. very arrogant and rude person .. He kept on saying he wasnt getting paid to clean the washer but repair it .. Totally understandable but very unprofessional.. The next day he called and I informed he he was no longer needed .. My husband and I cleaned the washer and put it back together .. Thank you but no thank you to Technicians like that Im pretty sure there is someone else that has manners and represents LG with better customer service. The Munoz Family

We bought this 3 years ago. We have all LG appliances in the kitchen and throughout the house. We love LG. This washing machine is absolutely amazing when it works. The entire touch panel that turns it on and makes it operate does not respond quite often to the point where we have to try for 20 minutes just to push the on button. Or come back in a few hours and try again. I have contacted support and had someone come out to look at it. The part is $300+. And this is passed the warranty. If an electronic required part goes bad in three years there is a problem here. It seems to be very common from what I found online. Sorry for the honest truth. We do love LG overall but no one would help us because its 3 years old. Waste of money for our situation.

I bought this washer 2years and 11 months ago also purchased a 3 year extended warranty for it So glad I did as it quit 1 month prior to expiration of the extended warranty and LG got the parts and fixed it within 2 days. I believe that most if not all appliance manufacturers need to improve the durabiliy of their electronics. When you spend that much money on a product it should last 10 years before failing

This review is very similar to many earlier reviews. We bought the LG WT7305CV washing machine in July of 2021. In November of 2023 less than 2.5 years later the control board malfunctioned rendering the machine useless. The washer and part are discontinued. I am not surprised after reading these reviews. LG obviously manufactures inferior washing machines and found it necessary to get out from under this defective product. I will never purchase another LG product of any kind again. This is a very damning testimony for a major appliance manufacturer.

Have been over a month w/o my washing machine. Its been a nightmare. LG washer from Lowes its 1 year and a half old washer broke computer board. Purchased protection policy from Assurant Protection Co. The whole situation is a nightmare. They sent out Sears AE repair but they have been useless. To sum it up the guy who first came on Dec.8 was supposed to order part part never came never was ordered. One guy said it was shipped another said the part was discontinued. We just wanted to switch out washer for a new one considering all these issues. Havent had any help or solution yet Lowes will not help or deal with the situation at all they say to deal with Assurant. Assurant says have to hear from Sears they are useless. You can not get anyone here in the States from LG or Sears Repair NOTHING Awful product LG. Would never buy again

We bought this washing machine over a year ago. I have been unable to consistently get clean clothes since. I have to wash clothes 2-3 times to removed smells and thoroughly clean our clothes. I even use the deep fill soil and extra rinse options each time I have a dirtier load. I still have to rewash clothes even when using those settings. It is extremely disappointing wasteful and time consuming. We purchased this machine because our prior one exploded. It was also an LG machine so we filed a claim. We received a credit to purchase another LG product and ended buying this one. I am disappointed in our LG experience.

Terrible. Within 2 years of purchase the washer stopped working for a known undisclosed product quality problem operating panel died. Worse the lack of communication from LG about the repair call led to rescheduling problems and my having to miss multiple periods of unplanned work and personal time which LG seemed to care less about. Presently I am trying to resolve the matter via their Presidential Liaison Team who cannot seem to coordinate a phone call or answer a text if their life depended on it. This is the second LG washer we have had to purchase in the last 2 years. The first washer had multiple issues that would have been costly to repair. The machine would not even turn on. We discovered on the internet that there are a lot of people who are having that issue. There are videos that walk you through a reset. The owners manual tells you how to reset it so it will start. Sometimes that works for 5 minutes 5 hours 5 days or until it wont even start after the reset. The new machine appears to have the same circuit board. We decided to purchase a new one. The only thing available that would match our LG dryer was an upgrade. We had the expense of doing laundry at the laundromat and the expense of disposal of the broken machine not to mention the cost of a brand new washer. We are talking about several thousands of dollars we have spent on LG appliances. I have had communication with several LG employees including a Presidential Liaison. The best we have been offered is a rebate on the new washer or $40.00 for laundry expenses. I could barely hear one customer service representative because she was working from home and she had a lot of roosters crowing near by the phone. She thought that was funny. I thought it was very unprofessional. At this time I dont know about my new washer. I am waiting to see if it preforms any better than the one we replaced. I do not feel LG honors or respects their customers appropriately.

Great looking LG set bought Oct 2021. Both the gas dryer and washer work well. They are as quiet as expected and clean/dry loads well. Wife loves the large capacity to wash multiple bed sheets at once. The only issue so far is thin laundry sheet pillow case etc have gotten caught underneath the agitator. I had to by a 18 socket extension bar so I can loosen the agitator to free the sheet/pillow case. Happened 3 times so far.
